Storytelling takes many forms, and no one told a story of biblical proportions better than quilt makers. Of quilt makers, Harriet Powers was recognized as a pioneer in the art. Born in Clarke County, Georgia, as a slave in 1937, emancipated after the Civil War, Powers married and was the mother of at least nine children. She died on January 01, 2010, in Clarke County, Georgia.

We all need to send more letters and postcards through the true mail so we can honor such people via choice of stamps!
Am determining to create a new habit in communication. Or rather – we invigorate an older one.

I have been sending letters/cards all my life – it’s a habit I learned from my grandmothers who wrote faithfully every week.
I doubt they would give a hoot and a holler about cyberspace!
