Our guns are locked and loaded,
Full of fury and fire.
Our hopes of peace outmoded
By men with war desire.
Who speaks for those enraged
By words so full of hate?
We must – we must become engaged
Before it is too late.
Too late to hear the cries
From half a world away.
And yet we share the very same skies
That weep for us today.

Very true, Shelia. The leaders of the ‘free’ world are making decisions that may ultimately destroy life as we know it. I don’t feel ‘free’ at all under any of these regimes…

I know, Dianne. What price for being last man standing.

I do think that, even though _____ is a deranged lunatic, he might be, as Wayside said, reined in by his military advisers.
The idea that a draft-dodger night start a war is frightening because he has no idea what that means. reined

Dearest Bob., so scary to think that we must rely on military advisers to refrain from making war.

Here I sit hoping Poppa Doc Donnie is reined in by his warhawk generals, who seem to be the only white men in this administration with any sense. We are not dealing with men like Kennedy and Khrushchev. God help us!

Yes, it is scary when our hopes are pinned on military generals. Yikes.
