women hang in there, no matter what – and now we VOTE

We survive war and conquest; we survive colonization, acculturations,
assimilation; we survive beating, rape, starvations, mutilation, sterilization,
abandonment, neglect, death of our children, our loved ones, destruction of
our land, our homes, our past, and our future. We survive, and we do more
than just survive. We bond, we care, we fight, we teach, we nurse, we bear,
we feed, we earn, we laugh, we love, we hang in there, no matter what.

Amen to we are not going back.

That said – it is heartbreaking to see that so many struggle to say what a woman is and seek to redefine a biological reality with a declared identity.

Awful to think we have come so far in achieving rights and equal opportunities and that now we have to face the fact that girls in – 2024 – will have fewer rights than their grandmothers.

Yes – fewer rights than their grandmothers. Unbelievable.

This old, batty, childless cat lady has some fight left in her. My ballot is filled out, and it goes to the drop box tomorrow. I also plan to gently exhort a few young recalcitrants for dragging their footsies. They do an “Aw shucks, Miss Ann” number on me, but I still make them squirm. Lol!

Go get ’em, Ann! Keep after the young ones, too! I can’t wait to vote – I’m so afraid I’ll have some cataclysmic event before I vote so good for you to stay ahead of the herd.
I listened to President Obama tonight, and I believe I could spend all day listening to his speeches. T was at work but is catching up on Twitter!!
